A / 03Leadership profile
Trevor Schetrompf completed more than 20 years of honorable service in the U.S. Army and retired as a Senior Noncommissioned Officer and operations leader. His career included assignments as a Drill Sergeant, Special Reaction Team Noncommissioned Officer in Charge, Directorate of Emergency Services NCOIC, and senior operations leader. In these roles, he led strategic planning, organizational readiness, risk management, and the synchronization of complex operations across the United States, Germany, Kuwait, and combat deployments to Afghanistan.
Trevor led specialized teams in complex, multi-domain environments spanning combat operations, law enforcement, protective security, emergency response, training, and organizational readiness. He conducted hundreds of key-leader engagements with military, government, law-enforcement, ISAF, and international partners. As a U.S. Army Drill Sergeant, one of the Army's premier trainers, he trained and developed new Soldiers for military service. As a Master SWAT Operator, he trained personnel in unmanned aircraft systems, counter-UAS operations, advanced marksmanship, precision-rifle employment, explosive breaching, evasive vehicle operations, special-reaction and SWAT tactics, civil-disturbance response, incident command, and coordinated emergency operations.
His international experience included working with the Kuwait Ministry of Interior and Kuwait Ministry of Defense and training or operating alongside Kuwaiti police, Kuwait Special Forces Police, the Emiri Guard, Jordanian Rangers, the Afghan National Police, the Afghan National Army, ISAF partners, and other allied organizations. His experience also included air-assault operations and the integration of helicopter-based aerial platforms. Trevor had the distinct privilege of supporting U.S. Secret Service protective missions for the President of the United States and providing counter-UAS security alongside Kuwait Special Forces Police in support of the Emir of Kuwait.
His operational judgment and contracting experience led to his selection as a command representative responsible for evaluating companies competing for the award of a $192 million installation security contract. He also served as a Contracting Officer's Representative, overseeing contractor performance, compliance, and safety.
Following military retirement, Trevor transitioned into professional arboriculture as a crew leader and heavy-equipment operator with Knock on Wood Tree Service of Franklin, Tennessee, one of the state's premier tree-service companies. His field experience includes complex tree removals, precision pruning, plant health care, Sennebogen 718 operations, major projects supporting the Federal Aviation Administration, and Hurricane Helene cleanup operations in North Carolina.
Trevor founded Sentinel Arbor Group to bring the lessons learned from leading specialized teams and high-consequence operations into the tree industry. His vision is to build Sentinel as a next-generation, technology-enabled field-operations company that integrates advanced equipment, unmanned systems, geospatial data, AI-assisted planning, real-time operational awareness, continuous training, and highly capable personnel into a unified operating model.
Sentinel is being built to anticipate emerging challenges rather than merely react to them. Every operation will be deliberately planned, intelligently resourced, professionally executed, and fully closed out, with technology used to strengthen situational awareness, reduce risk, improve efficiency, and produce repeatable results. The objective is not simply to build another tree company, but to establish a future-ready standard for specialized tree care, vegetation management, disaster response, and government field operations.
